2021 World Poker Tour Venetian Main Event Won by Chad Eveslage

Chad Eveslage took first prize in the 2021 World Poker Tour (WPT) Venetian Main Event winning $910,370. This is Eveslage’s first-time winning a WPT championship.

This was a unique final table of six for the WPT since it was the first time three women players were part of it. Two of the women at the final table had previously won WPT titles. Zajmovic won the partypoker.net WPT Playground Main Event in 2017. Nguyen won the 2008 WPT Celebrity Invitational.

But, it was not looking good for the three women when they started on Wednesday. All of the players at the final table were at a significant disadvantage since Eveslage and Liang held more than all four of the other players combined.

Kuo was the first to be eliminated, followed by Rodriguez and then McDermott. England held on until the 92nd hand but fell to Eveslage’s pocket Tens. This left Eveslage and Liang. Eveslage had 23.450 million chips, and Liang had 24.525 million chips, but Eveslage ended up acquiring a huge lead which Liang could not beat, leaving Eveslage to win the tournament.
