The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is now part of the online poker market in Pennsylvania. They entered the market on July 12th, and now they will be holding bracelet events in the state. The WSOP will be holding an eight-event series in Pennsylvania starting on August 8th and ending on August 15th with the final event. All events will begin at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The events will all be no-limit hold’em. Two of the events, the second and the sixth, will be progressive knockout events. The $3,200 no-limit hold ’em high roller event scheduled to take place on August 10th will be the largest buy-in of the eight-event WSOP series. The main event of the series will be a $1,000 buy-in on August 15th. This series will actually be the first time someone outside of New Jersey or Nevada will claim an online domestic WSOP win.
This tournament also marks another interesting change for the WSOP as well. Due to the introduction of the eight Pennsylvania tournaments, the WSOP online will offer more gold bracelets than the live in-person event hosted at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
